learn more about alpaca four seasons collection

Belacaro’s four-season alpaca knitwear brings together breathable, soft and durable pieces made in Québec, Canada. The collection includes lighter sweaters, layering skirts, accessories, vests and knit pieces designed to be worn beyond winter, from cool spring days to shifting in-between temperatures.

The fiber

Belacaro works with superfine baby alpaca from the Andes. On some styles, the fiber is blended with fine merino and recycled polyamide to enhance durability and shape retention over time. Alpaca is valued for its remarkable natural properties: warmth, breathability and thermoregulation, which allow it to adapt across changing temperatures. In that sense, alpaca can play a role similar to merino in a technical wardrobe: insulating when needed, breathable when temperatures rise, and comfortable against the skin. We work with a responsibly accredited yarn supplier, with certifications including Oeko-Tex and Peru Fair Trade.

Made to order in Québec

Each piece is made to order in our workshop in Québec, Canada. Every model is carefully developed by Belacaro and never produced in series, which gives each garment a more individual character and a closer attention to construction, finish and durability. Designed to become tomorrow’s vintage, Belacaro knitwear is made to be worn often, kept longer and repaired over time, with lifetime repairs offered for every piece.

Why wear Alpaca all-year round

For the wearer, this means knitwear that moves easily across the seasons. These styles are designed for layering, lighter warmth and everyday adaptability, offering the comfort of alpaca even when winter has passed. Most styles are available in 10 colors, with selected styles available in custom two-color combinations.
