Belacaro’s alpaca sweaters bring together soft, warm and durable knitwear made in Québec, Canada. The collection includes alpaca crewnecks, V-necks, turtlenecks and reversible styles designed for everyday wear, layering and long-term comfort.

The fiber

Belacaro works with superfine baby alpaca from the Andes. On some styles, the fiber is blended with fine merino and recycled polyamide to enhance durability and shape retention over time. Alpaca is valued for its remarkable natural properties: warmth, breathability and thermoregulation, along with a softness that feels comfortable against the skin. We work with a responsibly accredited yarn supplier, with certifications including Oeko-Tex and Peru Fair Trade.

Made to order in Québec

Each sweater is made to order in our workshop in Québec, Canada. Every model is carefully developed by Belacaro and never produced in series, which gives each piece a more individual character and a closer attention to construction, finish and durability. Designed to become tomorrow’s vintage, Belacaro knitwear is made to be worn often, kept longer and repaired over time, with lifetime repairs offered for every sweater.

For the wearer, this means sweaters that are warm, comfortable and easy to live in. Some styles feel dense and enveloping for winter, while others are lighter and easy to layer when temperatures begin to rise. Most styles are available in 10 colors, with selected styles available in custom two-color combinations.
