Belacaro's pure alpaca collection brings together knitwear made entirely from superfine baby alpaca sourced from the Andes. Every piece in this collection is 100% natural, with no synthetic fiber, no plastic, not a single molecule of plastic. This is alpaca at its fullest: a rare fiber valued for its exceptional softness, natural warmth and thermoregulating properties, experienced without compromise.

The fiber

Superfine baby alpaca is one of the finest natural fibers available. Lighter than wool, softer against the skin and naturally free of lanolin, it offers warmth without weight and comfort without irritation. Its hollow fiber structure provides insulation in the cold and breathability in milder temperatures, making these pieces genuinely versatile across seasons. Belacaro works with a responsibly accredited yarn supplier, with certifications including Oeko-Tex, Peru Fair Trade, RAS well-being standard and full farm-to-yarn traceability.

The craft

Every piece is fully fashioned and assembled by hand in our Québec workshop, made to order and never produced in series. Each style is carefully developed by Belacaro, with close attention to knit construction, silhouette and lasting wear.
